Chess tournament for people with vision disabilities in Chennai

CHENNAI, INDIA: Nethrodaya, an organisation that works for people with vision disabilities, will conduct a state level chess tournament for the blind here on August 22.
“This state level event will instill confidence in the minds of budding chess champions and also inspire the common man to understand and enjoy the nuances, thrills and beauty of this game,” said a statement from Nethrodaya.
Tamil Nadu minister for sports and youth welfare S Sundararaj will be the chief guest at the event, which will be held at Hotel Radha Regent in Arumbakkam here at 4pm.
