TEL AVIV, ISRAEL: ALYNnovation’s Inspired Innovation 2018 event was held for the first time last week in Israel. This premier event was hosted by ALYN Hospital, which is a rehabilitation center for physically challenged and children with disabilities, adolescents, and young adults. The event was held in the hospital’s innovation space for entrepreneurs with a special emphasis on assistive and inclusive technologies.
Entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, rehabilitation professionals, designers, distributors, and other related individuals gathered for an afternoon of in-depth content and discussion at Inspired Innovation. Key speakers in the event included: Yaron Galitzky, General Manager of Devices & Accessories at Microsoft and Daniel Barel, CEO & Founder of Softwheel. Galitzky presented the new Xbox Adaptive Controller and Barel spoke about his company that developed advanced in-wheel suspension technology to enhance personal mobility.
The closing session was about Impact Investing, Venture Capitals, Philanthropy & the Lines Between Them with Moshe Gaon (CEO & Founder at Yoocan Technologies), Nicky Newfield (Founder at ARC Impact Foundation) and Gal Hayut (Managing Partner at Bridges Israel). In this session moderated by Danna Hochstein Mann (Director at ALYNnovation), Moshe Gaon emphasized how the collaboration between Yoocan Technologies and ALYNnovation developed and their vision of promoting global assistive innovation with a focus on the importance of investing in early-stage Assistive Technology companies.
