Launch of Global Survey on DPO Participation in Development Programmes and Policies
Africa, Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East, News, December 4 2018
INTERNATIONAL: On Monday, 3rd December, 2018, the IDA announced the first ever IDA Global Survey to Monitor DPO Participation in Development Policies and Programmes.
The IDA Global Survey is available online on the following link: www.
The deadline to fill the Survey is the 16th December 2018.
What is the IDA Global Survey:
This is the first ever accountability tool to monitor that “nothing is done about us without us” – in line with Article 4.3 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The IDA Global Survey seeks the opinions of organisations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) on how their government, the UN and donors are including people with disabilities at all stages of their programming and in all areas.
The IDA Global Survey is available now in English, and very soon in French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and in International Sign.
Who can take it:
The IDA wants to hear the voices from DPOs at all levels (from local to national, to regional and global). The more responses received, the stronger the evidence and advocacy will be.
How can you support:
- Please have your organisations respond to the IDA Global Survey.
- Please disseminate it widely among your members. Urge them to take the IDA Global Survey.
- If possible, please add a link to the IDA Global Survey on your website.
- Please share it through your newsletters, and social media posts.
