NEW YORK, USA: The annual Partnership Exchange, held in the margins of the 2018 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), fostered understanding on the set-up and management of effective multi-stakeholder partnerships. Jointly organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), UN Office for Partnerships (UNOP) and UN Global Compact, the day-long event shared best practices, and outlined how partnerships can contribute to the SDGs.

The morning agenda featured two parallel sessions: one on building institutions and platforms that are fit for partnering, and the other focusing on maximizing impact of partnerships at the national level. The former session also served to launch the guidebook, ‘Maximizing the Value of Partnerships for the SDGs,’ authored by DESA and The Partnering Initiative (TPI).
