Deadline Extended to Monday, March 12th – Consultant for Safe and Accessible Mobility Study
Built Environment, Events, News, Universal Design, March 7 2018
INTERNATIONAL: As some of you may already know, Humanity & Inclusion is now preparing a study project on safe mobility as a tool for our advocacy strategy on road safety, which will be launched at the 2018 High Level Political Forum.
The study will focus on access to transportation systems and accessibility of urban infrastructure as a factor of safe and inclusive mobility for all, especially for persons with disabilities. They want the study to be composed of case studies highlighting concrete examples of good practices regarding mobility that enable people with disabilities to fully participate in society: these will include projects on access to services (such as inclusive education, access to health and socio-economic insertion) and on road safety. These good practices and lessons learned will be drawn from HI (and partners’) projects in developing countries, while the first part of the study will provide an overall analysis of the policy issues and how these are dealt with (or not) in existing policy frameworks/processes.
They are currently recruiting a consultant who will be in charge of drafting the study and the original deadline for applications was March 4th.
However, in order to receive a higher number of applications, they have decided to postpone it to Monday, March 12th, 2018.
