Kuwait Olympic Committee keen to back disability sports

KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Olympic Committee (KOC) Chairman Sheikh Fahd Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sbah said on Wednesday his committee is eager to provide all types of support to persons with disabilities sports and develop their capabilities.
He made the remark during a meeting with Tunisian and Algerian lecturers and internationally classified athletes with disabilities Dr Halim Al-Jebali and Dr Mohamed Khalladi respectively on the sidelines of a disability sports workshop held yesterday, the KOC said in a press release.
Al-Jebali said Kuwait’s gold win during recent Paralympic tournaments in Brazil reflected this Gulf country’s eagerness to support athletes with disabilities and develop their capabilities, it said.
He thanked the Public Authority for Sports (PAS) for organizing this event which would be surely in the interest of technical and training agencies, according to the statement.
