People with disabilities get government support

NIGERIA: EDO State government has provided financial assistance to 18 people with disabilities and less privileged persons in the state as part of efforts towards alleviating their sufferings.
Presenting the cash to the beneficiaries on behalf of the State Government, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Blessing Maigida expressed appreciation to the state government for the kind gesture.
Mrs. Maigida described the gesture as a concrete demonstration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole administration’s commitment towards providing succour to the less privileged and financially challenged persons in the state with a view to making them feel a sense of belonging.
She advised the beneficiaries to have confidence in themselves and exhibit their God’s given talent adding that they should not allow their challenges to limit them as according to her “there is ability in disability”.
She however enjoined the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously for the purpose it is meant for.
Responding on behalf of others, Mr. Shaka Inighiae thanked the state government for the kind gesture and also Governor Oshiomhole for his love for the less privileged persons in the state.
